How does the Advice service support UOG students?

How does the Advice service support UOG students?

The Advice Service is a safe and confidential space for students seeking advice and guidance. We are here to assist and guide you through various academic processes and help you find the most appropriate support services. Our support can include:

  • Providing context and ideas on how to write an appeal, complaint, or Professional Suitability and Fitness to Practice response.
  • Explaining the processes and policies related to appeals, complaints, and professional suitability and Fitness to Practice procedures.
  • Signposting to Student Centres for receiving support with extenuating circumstances.
  • Helping you understand the evidence you may need to pursue a case.
  • Supporting you through advocacy and helping you advocate for yourself in your specific case.

We are committed to helping students achieve the best outcome in academic processes. However, we are not able to provide legal representation. Where appropriate, we will signpost you to other services, such as mental health and wellbeing, or money advice.
