If you're looking for a fun way to get fit or dance with our competition team then sign up!! We train every Monday and Tuesday and everyone is welcome!!
The last few years UoG dance has gone from strength to strength, receiving inclusivity awards from the university, taking home countless trophies and Varsity wins as well as performances at Kingsholm rugby stadium. We are also recognised within the university for having the biggest and most successful fundraiser; ‘So you think you can dance?’ Where all members get the chance to make friends across different sports teams. We work closely with the community, specifically ‘Gloucester feed the hungry’ and we plan to continue our work with them this year as well as starting a brand-new schools outreach programme!
Our weekly classes on Mondays and Tuesdays are taught by current students to help you keep fit, continue your passion for dance while at university or even discover a brand-new hobby!
Our exceptional competition team competes in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, street and wildcard and took home countless trophies last season, including best overall Uni of the day! We compete at 3 competitions a year, one being our own and Varsity against Worcester.
If successful at auditions a competitive membership costs… plus £5 per team you are on. This covers the below.

The above are open to all members of UoG dance regardless of experience or ability, even if you have never danced there is a place for you!. We hope to develop routines to be used in our end of year showcase, where you can show off everything you’ve been working on.
We promise you won’t regret joining UoG Dance, you will make friendships and memories to last a lifetime.
