Ness Garratt – Activities and Opportunities Officer
December 9th-13th
This week Ness has been supporting the Activities team with Student Leaders Training and Varsity planning and begun plans with Worcester’s Vice President Student Activities for the Varsity campaigns. Ness has also attended the BUCS Winter Summit and AGM event at Loughborough University, which provided her with some brilliant insight into the behind the scenes of BUCS, their priorities, and a great networking opportunity with officers alike.
Ness also had the opportunity to present some of the Student Led Staff Awards at this year’s staff awards at the Business School. This provided her with the opportunity to share some of the lovely comments that students had left to recognise the hard work of staff members that were influential during their studies.
Kit Boulting-Hodge – Education and Community Officer
This week has been incredible, I have returned after my birthday with refreshed enthusiasm for my areas of work. This week marks the launch of my surveys with over 750 finished/unfinished responses, which are numbers unseen when looking over previous years, this is momentum and energy I will continue through to the second survey regarding Canteen services and Transport connections – keep an eye out! More routine work is rethinking our quality processes and how to centre the student more, this has meant I have even greater involvement in the Curriculum Transformation projects and can further the agenda of co-creation.
