Dance Club's recent fundraiser, So You Think You Can Dance, was a massive success, raising over £1,600! The charity they have been raising for is Gloucester Feed The Hungry, a wonderful charity to help those in need within our community. It was an event that brought together a fantastic mix of talent, energy, and enthusiasm from across our university. We were thrilled to see so many clubs and societies get involved, each showcasing their unique styles and creativity through dance performances.

The energy in the room was amazing, and it was inspiring to see so many people come together, not only to support a great cause but also to share their love for dance. The variety of performances made it an unforgettable evening, with participants and attendees alike having a blast. This was the first major fundraiser without an on site bar being open, and it went really well! Those who attended had a fantastic time and raise plenty of money, highlighting the creativity and enthusiasm of our students.

In addition to the incredible event itself, several meetings have been taking place to discuss fundraisers for different clubs, ensuring that all our societies have the support they need to thrive. These meetings have provided valuable insight into how we can improve and expand our fundraising efforts, fostering a sense of collaboration across all groups.

On top of this, we’ve begun working on a New Society Starter Pack designed to make it easier for anyone looking to create a new society. This comprehensive guide will include all the essential information needed to get a society off the ground—from registration steps to event planning and fundraising strategies. It's an exciting project that aims to teach new student leaders and encourage a vibrant, thriving society.
