Our TEAMGLOS Women's Football 1st team are the Conference Cup champions! They faced five tough rounds to get through to the final held at the University of Bath.

The team were up against the strong side that was Marjon 1st team who had not yet conceded any goals through the cup run and were going to take a lot to be beaten, as they have proven to be an incredibly strong team beating teams 10-0 in previous matches!

With Marjon breaking down on route to Bath, it was uncertain how late kick off was going to be pushed back to. Our team stayed composed and continued with their warm up and pre match talks with Head Coach Kate Gunn.

UoG started strong, taking control of the game by scoring  3 goals within the first 20 minutes. Scoring was opened by a fabulous goal from Macey Fox, followed by a impressive goal from Gillian Keenan with Ellie Christmas rounding off the stunning first few minutes with number 3. Marjon then started to bring it back with scoring just before half time making it 3-1 as the whistle blew.

The second half got underway and TeamGlos continued with their professionalism and demonstrated their talent by holding firm, leading to the game ending in 3-1, and the cup making it's way back to Gloucestershire! This is an incredible achievement from our 1st team Women's Footballers, and something to be proud of as they are now the reigning Conference Cup Champions. The team are also undefeated in their Western Tier 2 league and have two matches left to play to see if they can get promoted to Tier 1 at the end of the season which could leave them victorious in both the cup and their BUCS league.
