Last week, students across campus came together to have their say in our brand-new Speak Week! With over 2,000 students taking part in our interactive poll and nearly 200 (and counting) in-depth survey responses, we heard from so many of you on the issues that matter most.
What is Speak Week?
For those who don’t know, Speak Week is all about giving students the chance to share their experiences, concerns, and ideas directly with us. Whether it's about your course, campus facilities, or student life in general, we want to know how we can make your time at university better.
This year, we ran pop-up stands across all campuses, making it easy for students to stop by, cast their votes, and share their thoughts. And you didn’t hold back! From Adobe licenses to leaky roofs, and food costs to car parking, we received a huge range of feedback – and we’re ready to take action.
The Student Voice Conference: A Platform for Change
Alongside Speak Week, we hosted our Student Voice Conference, bringing students and university staff together for a day of discussion, learning, and advocacy. The event was a fantastic opportunity for students to develop key skills in leadership, communication, and problem-solving while engaging in important conversations about the student experience.
What’s Next?
Now that we’ve gathered all your insights, we’re working hard to share your feedback with the university and push for positive changes. We’ll be advocating for you on key issues and keeping you updated on the progress we make. Keep an eye out for our Speak Week report to see the key issues you have raised
Your voice is powerful, and Speak Week proved just how much students care about shaping their university experience. Thank you to everyone who got involved – whether you took part in the poll, filled out the survey, or joined us at the conference, your input is invaluable!
Stay tuned for updates on how your feedback is making an impact. And remember, your voice doesn’t stop here – keep speaking up, and we’ll keep fighting for the changes you want to see!
