Ness Garratt – Activities and Opportunities Officer
This week Ness was yet another busy week. Ness started the week by executing the Sexhibition event in the Link Corridor where external charities came in to discuss Sexual Health and Guidance, followed by another successful evening of Voice it to the VC.
The activities team held Student Leaders 2.0. Delivering sessions on topical issues that arise in Sports Clubs and Societies. Thank you to HopeHouse and GDASS for coming in to lead a training session on sexual violence. It was great to see so many of you engaged in this space.
And as always, the work towards a successful Varsity year continuously happening in the background of all of this.

Starting the week on a high note with an exciting series of events. Monday kicked off with ShaG Week – a thought-provoking and engaging Sexibition, followed by a powerful evening of dialogue at the Voice It with the VC event, where I had the honor of anchoring the session. Great conversations around student life and leadership.
The week continued with a wonderful meeting with the MP of Gloucester, discussing opportunities for local collaboration and how we can continue to make a positive impact in the community. I also had the privilege of attending the University of Gloucestershire Apprenticeship Award Night: celebrating the incredible achievements of students and apprentices who are shaping their futures with dedication and hard work. It's been an inspiring and action-packed week, and I’m excited to continue contributing to these meaningful initiatives.
