We are the newly formed Ecology Society!
We represent anyone with an interest in or curiosity about nature and the role in plays in our every-day lives, as well as its contribution to the world around us.
Ecology represents the interconnection of all things living, from a tiny amoeba to the great blue whale; from antelope to algae, crabs, confiers, fungi, fish, protozoa, platypus, tardigrades, tapirs, zebras and zooplankton. They all have a part to play in our beautiful world, so no matter what your interests might be, however big or small, we’d love to hear from you.
There has never been a better time to join like-minded people together and celebrate our natural world. We’ll be doing this by providing:
Talks by academics and professionals who will share their ecological expertise
Day trips to various locations such as museums and nature reserves
A chance to give back through organised clean-up efforts such as litter picking or other volunteering activities with local organisations/chairties
Socials such as quizzes and games to challenge your thinking and give everyone a chance to bring new ideas to the rest of the group and have a healthy and respectful discussion regarding the complexities of these ever important issues.
We hope to inspire friendship, collaboration, unity and change by providing a friendly and welcoming environment.
