Ethical Hacking

Welcome to the official society page for UoG Ethical Hacking society! This society is designed to give students an insight into ethical hacking by teaching about various different topics such as penetration testing, Linux-based tools and many others. Sessions will have a mix of theory and practical elements in order to allow students to practice what they learn in the society.

 

We also have plans to organise Capture the Flag sessions throughout the year. This is a great chance for students to gain further practice and experience with ethical hacking in a realistic environment. It also gives students the chance to become known to employers in the local area. These include potential events against other universities, or partner institutions. We also have plans to run sessions for students from local colleges to come in and learn new skills related to ethical hacking, along with guest speakers, social events etc. Whether you're new to the world of ethical hacking, or you have plenty of experience, there is something for everybody here!
